Our Approach

  • Navigating your financial Journey

As explorers and adventurers at heart, we believe financial journeys share similarities with road trips. Our process is designed so we may serve as your trusted navigator, proactively guiding you toward the achievement of your evolving financial goals.

  • Mapping your route: Getting to know your financial goals

Just as every successful road trip begins with a well-thought-out plan, our journey together starts with a deep, holistic understanding of your financial goals.

  • Hitting the road: Implementing your strategy

With your roadmap in hand, it’s time to bring your financial goals to life. From optimizing your investment portfolio to minimizing tax liabilities, we ensure every detail is meticulously addressed as we embark on our journey together.

  • Navigating detours: Adapting to life’s changes

Just as a road trip isn’t without unexpected detours, life’s journey will surely present unforeseen financial challenges along the way. We’re here to provide continuous guidance, support, and strategic solutions to keep you on course.

  • Celebrating milestones: Your journey, your achievements

As we travel together, we’ll celebrate every milestone and achievement along the way.

Our process

As a potential client, it is important for you to understand the key steps in our collaborative onboarding process ahead of time.

1. Introductory meeting

We start our journey with a complimentary 45-minute meeting—in-person or virtual—to get to know each other and see if we’re the right firm to help you reach your goals.

2. Initial analysis

If we decide to move forward together, we’ll ask you to provide us with your completed onboarding questionnaire and foundational documents (ie. account statements and tax returns), which you can submit through our secure portal. From there, we’ll conduct a preliminary financial analysis and gather additional information.

3. Map out your wealth plan

We will conduct a 60-minute meeting to better understand your current situation and goals, and share our initial recommendations for a better financial plan. We’ll discuss the resources needed for your journey, and address any of your questions and concerns along the way.

4. Determine if you are ready

Ultimately, you decide whether you want to implement the plan and work with us. If yes, we will proceed to client onboarding.

5. Start your journey

We will gather any additional information needed to finalize your financial plan, and then implement it—together.

Key Questions

Do you charge for the introductory call?

No, the introductory call is free. It helps us figure out if we’re a good match. If not, we’ll gladly introduce you to a firm that better fits your needs.

Do I need to prepare anything for our introductory call?

No, no preparation is needed. If we agree that it makes sense to proceed with your initial financial plan, we’ll ask for a few basic documents after our call.

How does Traveka Wealth make money?
  • We are a fee-only firm, so our clients are the only ones paying us—no commissions or any other incentive structures.
  • Our fees are taken as a percentage of the managed investment portfolio, and are tiered to charge a lower effective fee as your portfolio grows. Fees are billed quarterly.
  • With a minimum annual fee of $20,000, many of our clients have at least $2 million in investments for us to manage, but this is not required to start a relationship with us.
Who would I be working with?

We take a team approach. You’ll have a Lead Advisor as your primary contact and a dedicated Relationship Manager to provide support.

Who are your typical clients?

We do our best work with individuals and families whose financial fortunes have been shaped by the technology industry. Our expertise and history working with stock-based compensation and tax planning delivers enormous value to those in this situation.

Can you meet virtually and work with people in other states?
  • We’re happy to meet with you in the way that’s most convenient for you, virtual or in-person.
  • Most of our clients reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, but geography is not a limitation— we currently help approximately 150 families across 16 states.
  • We make use of the best available technology tools to meet virtually with prospective and current clients in a secure online environment.
